Where I speak with fervour.

Recrudescence of Me

Hi darlings, I’m back!  Haha.  That sounds rather gross.  I’m back from my blogging hiatus due to the horrid A levels.  I refuse to predict my grades because I don’t wanna jinx them.  However, I’m worried about my chem result as it might tarnish my A level cert.  I know I still have that bio mcq paper left, but I’m gonna relax.  I’ll probably study for it the day before.

I was so relieved after today’s paper because it marks the end of this tiresome journey.  Thus, I decided to pangseh my classmates (sorry) and go out with Terence since he asked first.  We had brunch at Siglap’s Macs and took a bus to Orchard.  It started raining along the way and we had to wait for the rain to subside at the bus stop.  I persuaded Terence to watch James Bond Quantum of Solace with me.  It was a typical Bond film so full of action that I forgot the plot.  I still think that Daniel Craig doesn’t fit the image of James Bond.  He’s too old and not charming enough.  I think Tom Hanks is even more unsuitable as the lead guy in Dan Brown’s books.  Angels and Demons is his best book (in my opinion) and I hope the silverscreen version will give it full credit.  The Da Vinci Code movie was kinda disappointing.

We had high tea at Royal Copenhagen.  There were 2 scones (with whipped cream, butter and blackcurrant jam of course), 2 slices of cake (lemon cheesecake and apple cake), 2 sandwiches (smoked salmon and shrimp with caviar) and coffee for me and tea for Terence.  Their strawberry water tasted good too.  :)

After chatting for about two hours, we did some windowshopping at Paragon.  We saw this really fugly looking barbie doll which happened to be the latest doll for the festive season at Toys R Us.  It looks like a drag queen barbie.  See for yourself.  Kids are gonna get creeped out by it.
