I’ve finally decided to move my procrastinating ASS and work on my 101st post!  Yes it’s already my 101st post on wordpress!!! Yeah yeah whatever.  I’ve been planning a special post for this once in a lifetime opportunity (this will be my only 101 post you know).  HAHA!  Thus, I’ll be dedicating this to the most treasured person in my whole ENTIRE 18 years on this ailing planet………ME!!!

I’m not that narcissistic and I certainly do not adore myself that much.  Of course, since I’ll only be having a few days of school left before I leave VJ, it’s only natural for me to dedicate this post to the friends who have made travelling to school not so bad.  They are none other than my friends from VJ!  Yes it’s especially for you WONDERFUL guys and gals.

Let me start off with my class friends from 07S32.

Kelly

She’s like a lil’ sis to me.  She always maintains her cheerful exterior, even though she might not feel the same inside.  We had fun these two years cycling and talking about shows we both watched.  She might have forgotten to give me a birthday present this year, but she’s still my lil’ sis.

Sarah Tan

She’s the one I share some insider secrets with and she used to be my busmate cum fellow pw member.  It was enjoyable rollerblading with her and doing other random stuff.  Sadly, I think she’ll be leaving for Australia to study since she’s Australian and it’s a free education for her.

Carol

Look at her gorging on that burger.  Oh my, she has one helluva HUGE appetite!  She’s the smarty-pants friend of mine who stays a five minute walk away from my house and is super addicted to playing mahjong.  Just awhile ago, I had an overnight mahjong session with her and I nearly collapsed from exhaustion.  Alright, I’m kinda exaggerating here.  She actually put up the board, which I made to support her during the volleyball finals, in her room.  Awww… I’m so touched.

Kum Boon

She’s the man!  She loves drinking, but she gets all scorching red after downing some booze.  Oh no, I think I’m embarrassing her so I shall stop.  I almost forgot to mention she’s the reigning GP Queen, but that won’t last for long… Hehe.

YY

This is another genius friend of mine who stays within close proximity of my house.  She’s so lovable and impossible-to-hate like a cuddly teddy bear.  She likes going around showing people pictures of her hamster on her phone.  It looks like a palm-sized ball of fur which I gotta admit is kinda cute.

Wynne

I just had to put up a picture of her and her favourite Giant supermarket chicken franks.  She likes them a lot and even took some home to feed Momo after my bbq party.  In case you don’t know who MOMO is, he’s her beloved pet pomeranian whom she snaps pictures of and post them on her blog and shows them to everyone on her phone (exactly like YY, but I think she started the trend first).  Yup, that’s Wynne for you and please remember not to ever say anything bad about Momo, she might just bite your head off.

Shanti

We have been through so many long hours together.  We attended both the NUS Model UN Conference and SIMUN together and we also went through the Under No Roof camp at around the same time.  She must have been rather annoyed by my incessant complaining.  Thanks for withstanding my nonsense!

Fawn

She’s most probably gonna say she looks ugly in this photo, but WHATEVER because I think she looks alright.  You see, I can read your mind Fawn.  I think she shouldn’t think too negatively and stop fretting over trivial stuff.  One thing, you’re NOT fat.  Another thing, she’s the Ultimate Dancing Queen.  See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen.

You must be wondering why ALL the friends I featured from my class are girls.  Well, I can’t help it since there are only five guys in my class which includes me.  I have really created many fond memories with my friends from class and let’s have some fun after As, even though it would be rather challenging.

Ian Lim

Sorry Ian! Now that I know another person by the same name, I have to include your surname.  Anyway, he’s the most studious and obedient friend I have ever made in my life.  He’s always scoring As, even in JC (except for Econs).  However, he’s not entirely devoid of fun.  It’s very enjoyable playing Wii at his house.  He has been my friend since my secondary school days, so our friendship has come a long way.

Desmond

He’s another VS friend of mine who’s also in VJ.  He is really good in the Arts and I certainly see a future for him in Law.  Anyway, is that the VS tie I spy adorning his VJ uniform?

Novabelle

I think I did a nasty job of erasing the background.  Please accept my sincerest apologies for this slipshod photo editing.  She’s a nice person so I’m sure she’ll understand.  She’s related to Desmond and I think most of you already know that.  She always plans activities for the power clique and I use to stay near her.  She was kind enough to let me hitch a ride to school every day.  I miss not taking the bus.

Xian Yong

He’s the guy with the pearly white smile and squinting eyes.  I totally enjoyed “talking” with him about certain some ones during choir practices.  I wonder what Mong thinks of him since she takes the bus to school with him every morning.  Wait a minute, I take the same bus to school too.

Mong

She’s the one on the right, but she looks like she could fit in jolly well with the kid beside her in fun-filled primary school activities.  Don’t you agree?  She’s definitely gonna slap me when she reads this.  Haha.  We have so many things to talk about on the phone and when we meet each other.  She’s like atom ant.  Tiny but potent.  Have you seen that retro cartoon before?

Ray Rin

He loves sharing food with people.  I suppose that’s how he displays his concern for others.  He’s a bit odd at times, but surely a nice friend.  I think he should purchase Marks and Spencer and chew on those yummy percy pigs all day.

Sherwin

She’s a completely hilarious nut who cracks jokes so very often.  Don’t expect her to be a full-time joker though because she gets emo too.  We were especially close last year, but now we’ve drifted slightly apart.  However, the laughter she brought is unforgettable.

Jeremy Ho

He’s the nicest guy in choir that is able to hold a conversation with anybody.  It feels comfortable to talk to him.  He was also from VS, but I never knew of his existence until he joined VJ choir.  It would have been great if I had known him since secondary school.

Marianne

Her giggly laughter makes her sound so bimbotic, but she’s smart alright.  She takes this upper class subject called H3 History.  Haha.  We both LOVE history.  I contemplated taking H3 History too, but decided I wouldn’t be able to manage with my lousy results from other subjects.

Jia Ling

Her parents should have named her Strawberry.  She loves everything related to strawberries.  Her favourite part of my house is the kitchen because the wall tiles have strawberries on them.  We both watch funny Asian dramas and she was the one who introduced Nodame Cantabile to me.

Guin

I don’t know what her St. Nick’s friends were thinking when they came up with that nickname for her.  She so does not look like a penguin.  For your information, she’s the wonderful ex-president of our choir and part of the powerpuff girls trio with Mong and Lix. How can she be a penguin?

Lixuan

If i’m not in school tomorrow, you’ll know who killed me.  I think she didn’t know I took this photo of her.  It was a collaborated effort with Fawn to capture Lix in the utmost unglam pose.  I have to categorise her in her very own exclusive category because she’s in both my class and choir.  Furthermore, we were in the same pw group. Such fate.  Haha.

If you were not featured, it doesn’t mean you’re not my friend.  It’s just that if I put up more photos, it would be overwhelmingly time consuming.  For those friends not from my school who are disgruntled about not having their pretty faces in this post, I have a good reason for that.  It’s because I’ll be leaving VJ soon and we’ll be going our separate ways and I’ll surely lose a few contacts when that happens. I’m cherishing this moment while it lasts.  Study hard all of you!

Irresponsibly Daft

I feel like I haven’t updated in aeons.  Yeah actually I haven’t.  I think most of you know that I’ve been busy with exams this week.  I think I did rather badly for the chemistry and biology papers I took, Math was alright but I’m not sure if I’ll pass.  South-east Asian History is the only subject that I feel confident of passing, but I’m not certain what grade I’ll achieve.  This week has been tiring because I’ve been sleeping at 4am and waking up at 10am to study as three of my papers were in the afternoon.  I still have one more wretched week to go…

I just finished my dinner and watched a little news.  China has a fake milk scandal again.  I was utterly shocked to hear of such irresponsible people who let babies die for the sake of profits.

I also watched news on another irresponsible person with a mouth that should be sealed tightly with tape, Sarah Palin.  If you don’t know who she is, let me tell you.  She’s a forty-something year old woman who is supposedly very conservative as she is anti-gay and anti-abortion and apparently she is the Republicans’ bid to become the next vice-president of the United States of America.  Well, I can tell you she’s really irresponsible.  Apparently I think she’s too busy being the governor of the GREAT state of Alaska and too preoccupied with shooting her mouth off on tv to care about her own daughter.  With her supposedly conservative upbringing of her children, her daughter got pregnant at 16.  She tries to show how conservative she is by saying that her daughter will marry the guy who impregnated her.  A very responsible mother indeed.

Today she goes rattling off about how patriotic she is by sending her son off to fight a lost cause, Iraq.  I suppose she would like him to be a martyr and let the country honour him as a hero.  Well that’s not the only thing she said today.  She said that she won’t rule out a war with Russia.  Such great words said with such fervour, but once again irresponsible.  The USA had desperately avoided a war with the USSR almost the whole of half the last century and now she’s telling us that she wants to fight Russia just because of Georgia?  Oh my.  I wonder what’s going on up there in her nut called the brain.

I don’t exactly like Obama as you can see from a previous post that I was a Hilary supporter, but I think the Democrats do more good than the Republicans.  The Republicans are always busy picking up a war with another country (maybe that’s why many third world countries dislike the US) that they just let the economy rot.  Look at the subprime crisis, it’s a classic example.  Every time a Republican becomes president, the US goes into a budget deficit.  The Democrats, on the other hand, prefer to keep their noses to themselves and are usually very concerned about the economy.  Bill Clinton did a good job of helping the world economy prosper, though I won’t say he did great in his personal life.  I think Sarah Palin should simply think before she speaks.  It seems she’s audaciously trying to garner more votes for Mccain than to think about serving her nation properly.
